Rooted from The Earth: The Second Time Around

Normally, people would start with a small appetizer, pika pika as we call it here in the Philippines..but for an unsurprisingly sweet change today, dessert comes first.

Earth Kitchen's homemade Pastillas Ice Cream sent us to heaven, literally as we had our first taste - enjoying its rich, creamy texture and its subtle sweetness flavor...oh man, I would be more than happy to run and train the next day, or perhaps do a few yoga poses just to guiltlessly enjoy such sinfully delicious treat. It's house made at their White Plains QC branch - ensuring that only the finest ingredients go into their ice cream, and that's one of the many things that makes theirs so special. :)

Their menu takes pride in using only the best, freshest produce out there from local farmers - from Tarlac to Marinduque and even sourcing their pili nuts from Bicol that are generously sprinkled on their salads and ice cream. It's really makes our hearts(speaking for all people out there who greatly value their health and wellness and takes charge of their life through food) happy and leap with joy to see such healthy, sustainable and local movement to continuously grow here in our country. Green Juice Delivery Services, Salad Bars, Healthy Vegetarian and Vegan Cafes - these are just a few manifestations of a growing awareness among us Filipinos. :) #HUGESMILINGFACE

I can imagine, the cafes and raw food dessert bars that I browse on my Instagram feed in Australia manifesting themselves here in the Philippines - and from the bottom of heart, I sincerely, sincerely, want to take an active part in that movement. It has been always my dream to share a space wherein people would gather round, enjoy wholesome food and share their stories, passions and adventures in life. :)

If there is such a thing called one's PATH, this is the PATH that I dare and dream to pursue - that of which health, wellness and yoga is a priority. That of which speaks and breathes love, compassion and kindness...that of which allows everyone to shine and share their light.

Just like this creamy pumpkin yogurt soup :) Who says one has to eat meat to enjoy life? YUM!!!

If you ever dine in at The Earth Kitchen, make sure you get this cause you'll surely love those crispy garlic potato toppings! I could seriously eat this every single day for REAL! :D
Now calling all compassionate green beings out there!Who loves their greens in their salads? :) This is definitely one of our favourites!  Talk about that perfect balance of softness and crunch fromthe  crispy seaweed, mixed greens, and ebi tempura :D And oh did I mention, their dressing is TO DIE FOR! I would almost love to ask the Chef what were the ingredients used and how was it made - I swear I really had to stop myself cause it's that good!!!

Oh and ofcourse this! Minus the Beef Kebabs for meeee!!! This dish happily brings me back to those lunch breaks that I spend with bestfriends, sharing good laughs over our all time favourite: Shawarma Rice(flashback to days when I still eat meat and beef. meh. haha!) Looking back and comparing it with now, I honestly can't believe that I'm one with all these people who dedicate to live their lives compassionately in their own simple ways. :) I completely respect everyone and their beliefs and have nothing against people who choose to eat meat. :) Just saying! :D

Oh! I almost forgot to mention their version of TURON! :) For a person who loves(take note: love would completely be an understatement) everything nut butter, theirs is a COMPLETE WINNER! It was perfectly served warm, having the perfect crunch on the outside, and that gooey oeey mushy banana-peanut butter combination - Oh! We're in deep, deep trouble right here. :)

The good, delicious kind though,  so nothing to worry about, really. :)
You can say we're tired, but we're very very happy and fulfilled inside. :)

This is just the beginning of the many reviews that we'll do for the numerous and interestingly delicious restaurants that take Manilenos to heart. :) And perhaps, well, most probably one day, we greatly look forward to serving you too. :)
