La Boracay 2013: An Epic Summer to Remember

So a few months ago, I wrote this 20 Must Things To Do Before I Turn Twenteen,

http://worldtravelerandbaker.blogspot.com/2013/05/twenteen-wonderful-years-counting.html

and I included a trip to the beach with friends cause it's something that we RARELY...RARELY...

I REPEAT.....

RARELY

EVER

DID

Well except for a few teambuilding activities...

Nonetheless..I BADLY WANTED TO GO TO THE BEACH...

I BADLY WANTED TO GO TO BORACAAAAAY despite others saying that it's too commercialized and crowded and overrated! Maybe you have been a lot of times to Boracaaay and have gotten tired of it but I guess, like the ever curious worldtraveler that I aspire to be,

I'll ALWAYS,

ALWAYS,

FALL IN LOVE WITH THIS PARADISE.

AND VOILAAA!

Let La Boracay Adventure,

BEGIN!

I. THE PLAN: NO PLAN

You must have heard of the famous saying, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" right?

Well I guess I was to stubborn to even think of planning my Boracay trip (like how I always used to be before, super organized with itineraries, etc). Maybe it was also because of the fact that I was flying alone to Boracay(IKR?) and I knew that I only had to consider myself, though I know some friends and  batchmates were there...stilll...It's not the vacation that I had planned in my mind back then

(BUT IT'S THE BEST ONE THAT I HAD SO FAR!!!)

*smiles

Oh how I wish I'm back on your beautiful, powdery white paradiiiise, Boracaaay!!!

After a one hour flight (NO FILTER/ NO MAKEUP = NGARAG MODE!),

a two hour van ride ,

a seemingly long ferry boat,

Let me introduce my super duper tourist guide, Kuya Mac! Thank you for all your help from the very beginning of my Boracay adventure until the very end Kuya! I really appreciate it and I'll definitely contact you when we come back next summer! :)

and at last, a trike ride to the hotel....

I finally arrived.

Oh! The beauty that is in Boracay makes me want to just stay there every single day of my life...the white saaand..the cleaar blue & almost greenish waters, the small, cute little fish swimming on your feet along the shore...those little yet fascinating things instantly brought immense happiness and gratitude with life...

Guess I'm being too dramatic! Well who wouldn't be in awe in such paradise?

II. THE BEAUTY IN SPONTANEITY

While in Bora, I stayed at Hannah Hotel in Station 1 which is a family owned hotel by Tita Marissa, along with her children, Justin & Kuya Pao.

I'm just so thankful that I chose to stay here! Really great and warm people! Ugh, Boracay memoriiiieees are swarming my brain right now and I can't help but shed a joyful tear! I just had sooo maanyyy good memories that they seriously make me cryyy!!!

One of the many things that I love about Hannah hotel is their super Pinoy inspired breakfast! I remember arriving there at around 9 am, super famished cause I only had a pandesal from Cagban port, asking if they already have breakfast prepared and eating their fluffy mango pancakes! :)

I also loved their longganisa & egg breakfast and their choco banana toast as well!!!

After settling in, I tried to contact my friend Ricca who's staying with her friends at Boradise beach resort and start doing fun fun fun activiitiiiies! :DDD

Too bad her phone didn't have signal for the next few hours so I decided to wear my favorite pink bikiniii(oh yes I love bandeaus!), stroll around the beach and ofcourse, take a loooot of pictuures...

INDEED IT IS! :)))))))))

EPIC MOMENTS INDEED!

I mean, who would've thought that I'd have the BEST NIGHTS OF MY LIFE here at Boracay with people whom I never expected to hang out with?
Indeed, the BEST MOMENTS in life happen during times when you LEAST EXPECT IT & WHEN YOU RARELY PLAN IT!
I can never EVER SUM UP the "epicness" of my summer with just this bloooog! OH only if you knew all the crazy crazy things that  happened guys!!!

Like what I told Chug, Boracay's such a beautiful mess and I'll FOREVER EMBRACE IT!  <3

III. THE GIFT OF THE PRESENT MOMENT

I've read a lot of books, sayings and signs that tell us to enjoy the present moment, to enjoy the now, not worry what the future beholds nor the things that happened in the past. I remember trying to apply this back in college, always trying to tell my mind that I have to be present in every moment - only ending up otherwise. I realized that the more you try so hard to do it, the more that you won't cause it's something that should occur naturally in such a way that one simply breathes the beauty that is in their lives.

And I seriously have to thaank God above all for all His wonderful blessings...

for allowing me to have a safe trip back and forth to such a beautiful paradise,

for all the inspiring people that I've met along the way...

for all the EPIC MEMORIES that I had with everyone else,

KUYA RODEL IS THE BEST STAFF I'VE EVER MET IN BORACAY! THANK YOU KUYA! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! :)

OH LEMON CAFE, YOU'RE THE DEATH OF MEEE!!!

for the WONDERFUL ADVENTURES...

PREPARING TO SAIL FROM THE SAFE HARBOUR...

HELMET DIVING ADVENTURE IS EPIC!

SUNSET PARAW SAILING

This is definitely one of the BEST THINGS that you can do when you visit Boracay. :)

The whole experience makes you feel SO INFINITE, as if you could FLY AND CONQUER LIFE!

Thanks to this cause it helped me a lot to rethink my goals in life and to get back on track. :) Now I'm ready, ready to face whatever challenge lies ahead in order to achieve my ULTIMATE DREAM IN LIFE. :)

So if you're going to Boracay, don't ever ever miss this out, OKAY? :)

Life is indeed, what we make of it. So guys, wherever you are right now, don't forget to be thankful to the Lord, to enjoy and have fun cause...

Wouldn't it be nice to look back and say,

"Damn, I had such a great time!"

rather than,

"I should've gone for it.", "I should've come" or " I should've done it!"

right?

So,

Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sail.
