Chocolates, Cardamoms and My First Ever Shamanic Journey

To say that I'm blessed would be such an understatement.

Thank you Mr. Kalinado....

Thank you for your kindness, love and generosity.

I would've never thought to receive such blessing during these times of life, and as a means of gratitude, I am writing this to share love, light and happiness to every beautiful Being who might have the chance to read this. :)

I've read about shamans, spiritual journeys and tribes way back in college when I was randomly browsing through the school library and never had it crossed my mind that I will be experiencing it myself. I know, it may sound so weird..strange even, to compensate for the lack of intensity of such word..but yes...

A Shamanic Journey, according to El, is a journey wherein you venture to the Spiritual world, meet ancient chieftains, animal spirits and even get in touch with objects, things that might have belonged to you that needs retrieving. That is exactly why we went on that path on  a Monday morning at this park that felt like an oasis amidst the buzzling streets  of Makati.

Here's how it goes:

As the shaman chants sounds, the person goes into a deep meditative state...

As for my experience, I took a long, deep breath..and put all my trust in Him...

I remember El telling me that I might be meeting people from the past..and even seeing objects that might have belonged to me and the purpose is to bring it back with me as I leave the meditative state.

From the very beginning, all I could remember was a bright, orange light...As El chants, I intentionally chose to let go of any expectations of meeting someone and just breathe. To be honest, at first, I had this notion and excitement of meeting someone in the past or seeing objects and bringing it with me just like what El said, still, I chose to let that thought go and trust in the whole process..Towards the end, I remember El asking me to return...

I found myself in tears, opening up, and releasing all the things that do not serve me.

Strange enough, I felt complete. I felt enough, I felt that I didn't need to retrieve anything...

And then later during the day, I asked El on what he saw on our Journey...

" I saw a bright triangle, like a piece of broken mirror, full of pure light...I knew it was yours, a part of you, I brought it back and placed it back inside you. "

No wonder, as it was my way of receiving that broken part..that part of myself that was lost..thank you El..thank you for bringing it back...thank you for helping me find a lost part of my soul. Thank you.

Oh, and before I forget to mention, for the Tripahala, Cardamom, Star Anise...and those awesome awesome Chocolate Orange Truffles and Date Chewy Bars that you made. I wish I was able to take a photo, but too late!!! They were so good I ate them all for breakfast! <3 <3 <3
