Regaining Focus: Compassionately Delicious

Hi there beautiful fella!

I'm Princess, a twenty something year old lady who is currently juggling between her passions in life, in search for meaning and answers to certain things that concern mostly about health, happiness and living true to One's Self and fulfilling One's Purpose in Life.

That may be quite deep. LOL

Let me lighten that up for you guys. :)

By the age of twenty two, I've worked a minimum of 7 jobs in 3 different places, and 2 different countries - Philippines and that of the United States. I have been privileged to travel to many different parts of the world(thank you parents! :D) - New York, Prague, Paris, Belgium, SFO, Hongkong, Macau, Washington DC, Los Angeles, San Diego, Czech Republic, Vienna, Lille - not that I'm bragging or anything, but it seems that I'm in search of something.

Some meaning..a direction perhaps

Focus..

Quite a lot of people tell me that "the world is at your feet.", and it's at yours too, that we're still so young and we could explore many different things..

In the past two and a half years, I have gone through so many things(but not as much as that of really experienced people), changed careers, pursued my passion for food and even worked at kitchens as a line and pastry cook..And now, I find myself working in the publication industry. :)

It sounds so simple..right? But it's not.

In my journey of searching, pursuing and "quitting"(jobs), I believe I have discovered something way more valuable than what the modern society would deem a "successful" person in a certain field. I've always been passionate about food, and what I've learned is how food, could actually change people's moods, how food could actually evoke certain feelings of happiness, sadness, and love, above all..how it could actually save millions of lives..and how teaching oneself to cook, learning the important role of food in nourishing oneself, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

You might wonder why I'm suddenly into all these stuff.

I've been constantly keeping a FOOD JOURNAL to track my body's reactions to certain types of food and have been continuously creating, adjusting and improving my meal plans until I've finally found what works best for my body.

I trust in my journey of shedding light in this and I'm really grateful for all the wonderful and supportive people I've met along the way. I'm learning so much about my body, about food and how our relationships, emotions and internal state of health, acceptance and Self Love, greatly affects the quality of our lives.

Cooking and preparing your own food obviously require more love, effort and time from you compared to buying stuff at fastfood or convenience stores..and that energy and mindfulness that you devote to it creates ALL THE POSITIVE DIFFERENCE. :)

Everything is energy. And when you eat food that's prepared with such love, kindness and good intention, you receive and nourish yourself with the same energy..

Good energy flows...same as bad..so let's always practice being mindful of what type of energy we allow ourselves we have within us..

Thus, Compassionately Delicious is born.

As I've found my passion for good food, in creating, sharing and enjoying it, I would like to meet people whose souls are equally awakened by this calling as well. It's born with a core belief that, Food Created with Love, Compassion and Kindness, could both be very healing and delicious at the same time

The training I received from chefs, not to mention the oh so great and awesome Chef Allen (Wildflour Bakery & Cafe), Chef Celine Escaler (Stockton Place), Chef Jay( The Wholesome Table) - I wouldn't mention all though ;) have greatly helped me in developing such a beautiful relationship with food.

One thing I most admire about these Chefs is that they always manage to cook delicious food using only the ingredients that are available to them. For me, that's genius. A hungry and passionate genius. :)

Compassionately Delicious is a creative outlet in which I share thoughts about food, health and even random thoughts about living a healthy compassionate and healthy lifestyle. It's my way of paying it forward..for all the goodness, kindness and generosity that I have received from people whom I least expected to.

I am grateful and blessed to have experienced all those things in the past for without such, I wouldn't be able to find my focus..or was it there all the time, and it's just a matter of regaining it. Of claiming it. Of receiving it fully, without any expectations..

All my life, I've received so much blessings that I honestly failed to see and right now, I have decided that I would like to dedicate my life in giving..in sharing what I know and what I have..And that for me, is my passion to live a happy, healthy and vibrant life through nourishing relationships(most especially with oneself and with God), good food and an active lifestyle.

I won't be able to do this alone.

So will you join me in creating more compassionately delicious lives by starting with our lives first? :)

If yes, then I encourage you that whenever you make that decision, no matter how small it is, to love yourself more by cooking your own breakfast and not buying your usual fastfood meal, SHARE  it, may that be in Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and use #compassionatelydelicious to create that awareness and community. It will pave way to connect more to people who share the same mindset and wouldn't it be nice to arrange meet ups, potlucks and have discussion groups with something that you're passionate with? :)

I challenge you to share your first meal! :D
