Questioning Traditions: Musings of a Girl Who Works

Now that I've currently decided to work in an office (if you've been reading my blog for quite some time, you might have read that I've worked in numerous kitchens here in Manila and pursued my passion for food specifically pastry which you can read some over here: http://loveyourselffirsttoheal.blogspot.com/2014/08/a-wholesome-switch-from-sweet-to.html, I must say that right now, I tend to question traditional practices a lot and I would really love to hear your voice about such too. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity given to me to work for such a prestigious company, working with such talented and driven people (oh and did I mention, I'm so excited to work with my boss cause they say it seems like working for that fierce and fearless Miranda from The Devil Wears Prada) , and sometimes, I can't help but compare my experience working at kitchens as well.

I was used to be on my feet for at least 10 hours, prepping, cooking, baking, and communicating with fellow line and pastry cooks - and here I am right now, in front of a computer, writing this blog :) and wishing I have a huge stability ball right now so I could constantly challenge my strength in balance..and I find myself always standing, haha! I can't seem to sit for quite a long time. Oh well. haha! That's why I'm sharing the questions that I have on my mind with you. I mean, I have worked for an Embassy before as well, but building upon my experiences, everything makes such a huge difference now. I think more of positive changes, possibilities and more of "Why nots?" rather than "It can't.."

So here you go :)

I bet you won't be surprised by my first one.

May we stock healthy fruits, snacks and produce on the fridge at the pantry? :)

Even strawberries, grapes and bananas..some nuts and kale chips perhaps as well? :) I believe that people would perform so much better at work if they fuel themselves properly and isn't it such a wonderful thing if you actually have such healthy community at work? :)

May we use stability ball as our office chairs?

I cannot emphasize how greatly beneficial this would be, really. I mean, imagine how we could practice our balance and core strength if we had to sit on stability balls! Hm. :) Now I'm buying one for here, and would definitely ask permission first! LOL!

How about a Meditation/ Yoga Room?

It doesn't have to be as fancy as the one shown in the picture. A comfortable and quiet room for times when we feel that there's just so much work and we need to take a break.:) I've heard that in most countries, people do take a lot of breaks from work, an unsurprisingly, they are more productive. :)

I have so many questions and suggestions in my head right now, these are just a few. So if you're at your desk right now, do you wish something to be different at work? something that you think would make you and your workmates perform better and have good relationships with them? :) I would love to hear from you! :)

I'm even thinking of bringing my own portable Blender at work soon. :) I love how sleek and colorful these are!!! :) Manifesting so much abundance to buy this! <3 Cause I love my green juices so much! :*
