Pain had never been this Sweet with Yin
For some reason, I kept on going back to Yin class not only because of how it makes my body feel after..just like what I've experienced with Bikram Yoga before most especially with Michelle, whom I consider as one of the best teachers that I've come across with, and oh!
Such a sweet coincidence!
Michelle Freeman, famously known as the Dragon Lady of Bikram Yoga Manila..and this pose..the Dragon Pose, which is the highlight of my practice today.
It was actually my first time doing the pose in a more "relaxed" manner in such a way that it asks you to find your edge and at the same time be able to breathe and relax in the pose itself..
I know. Haha!
I've never felt such a sweet, shooting pain in my inner thighs..
It's that kind of pain that you know is good for you cause even our teacher today told us that her teacher said that it houses certain emotions, feelings..
And the Dragon pose somehow let us to keep in touch with those emotions..to feel the "physical pain" that comes with it, feel and breathe into it. Tonight, I've learned that whatever pain, struggle or challenges that we may be going through in our lives right now is essential in our transformation to be better and stronger persons.
Such pose allowed me to realize that pain, whether that be physical or emotional, could be something sweet and transformative, or something dreading and exhausting..
It's up to us how we perceive and take it..and for me tonight, pain could never get any sweeter with my first Dragon Pose in Yin. ;)
Love and light,
Princess
