Baking(& Cooking) my Way to Fitness: A Healthy-Lifestyle-for-a-Lifetime Challenge

I've been struggling to lose those last stubborn five pounds( call me vain? ;) ) for months from my recent trip to the States and whenever I notice a little progress, I tend to go back to my old "unhealthy" ways.
Until recently, I've been discovering a lot of people(thanks to Instagram, Blogger, Wordpress, etc) who've been making the switch from desiring to be ridiculously THIN & SKINNY to being STRONG & HEALTHY.

So I told myself, why not focus on just being active and eating healthy food?
WHY NOT RIGHT?
Well, I must admit, being active in terms of exercise is something that one could easily do, especially when one has already adapted an exercise regimen...
THE HARDEST PART IS EATING HEALTHY...

Oh Man, even I find it extremely hard to say NO to these SUPER YUMMY BURGER & FRIES! Just by even looking makes me want to have an ULTIMATE BACON & CHEESE BURGER WITH EXTRA LARGE FRIES for lunch!!!
But no, I won't do that. Maybe on my cheat day, YES, but I'd want to start treating my body right by eating REAL, HEALTHY FOOD. Though to be honest, there will be days, (TRUST ME) when you'd seriously crave for ALL THINGS UNHEALTHY and I believe it's really normal. It's just that sometimes, you have to remind yourself why you have to make a healthier choice per se...why are you doing this in the first place and hopefully, that craving goes away! HAHA!
Though I've already started to make small changes to my lifestyle by eating more greens, fruits, whole grain and low fat dairy, today I'm ready to take this Healthy-Lifestyle-for-a-Lifetime-Challenge to the next level!
You may wondering how?
Well as you are all aware of,
I have an UNDYING LOVE for
EVERYTHING SWEET!

Give me a dozen of Georgetown cupcakes and I can surely devour it within the day.

Give me a jar of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, and the next thing you know, they're GONE...as if they weren't there in the first place.
*laughs
That's why I don't want to drastically change my lifestyle cause know it's not going to be easy to give up things that you love.
So I thought of starting with baking (&cooking) "healthier" versions of those once sinfully dishes and desserts and sharing recipes with everyone as well! :D I will be featuring different types of dishes from a variety of diets & lifestyles that claim to be "healthy" such as Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free, Sugar Free, Paleo, etc.
I'm SERIOUSLY..
SERIOUSLY EXCITED to whip up new recipes in the kitcheeeeeeen and share them with you guys!
And the next thing you know, a "healthier" version of your normal pastry shop & cafe would be open soon. :D
