Gratitude Cupcakes: A Bittersweet Way of Saying Goodbye(&See You Later!)

THE BEST CHOCOLAATE CUPCAKE YOU'LL EVER TAASTE!!!
I call them Gratitude Cupcakes for a special,

and a very obvious reason.

To be exact, two weeks and two days had passed since I arrived home from LA, and you will agree with me when I say that this blogpost is definitely, definitely long overdue.

 *laughs

Well, at least I found the passion to write about my passion yet again! :D I guess you have your own too! Be it painting, cooking, writing, designing, or anything under the sun that makes you live life to its fullness, making you feel wonderful & alive. :) And do you sometimes find yourself doing it also as a way of expressing how grateful you are to life, especially to people close to your heart?

Baking has always been something special to me and I would like to use it as a way to express my feelings as well. It just gives me happiness whenever I bake and oh! the sight of those beautiful and intricately designed pastries never fail to put a smile on my face! And do you know what's the best part about it?

I can share the happiness with everyone and even make them feel the overflowing gratitude from my heart. :) That's why on my last week in LA, I decided to bake chocolate cupcakes and give them to people who made my stay worthwhile! :DDD

First on my list, I would like to thank Tita Len, Tito Eric and their kids, Paolo & Aaron for "adopting" me during my whole stay in LA! Thank you for your family's love and generosity! :)

I will never ever forget all our adventures! It was definitely a White Christmas and a Happy New Year spent in LA because of all of you! :)))

These are chocolate cupcakes with a rich chocolate ganache icing and sprinkles to top off this sinfuuul creation! :))))

Pardon my SUPER NEWB PHOTOG SKILLS!!!

Okay, enough of these first and let's move on to my Gratitude list! :))

Meet Ka Brenda & Ka Conraaaad! :)))

Well, what can I say? I am the luckiest because I've met them cause they've been my second family in LA and I know I couldn't thank them enough for everything that they've done. :) Thank you Ka Brenda & Ka Conrad for always picking me up to attend worship services and other Church related activities and for bringing me home as well. Thank you for treating me like family in every way possible. :) I love you and super miss ko na po kayo!

They're the best I swear! :D I will never ever forget our food trip moments @ In-N-Out Burger at 9 in the eveniiing!(CALORIIIEEES!!),

our super duper heavy brunch at IHOP!

to the simplest thiings! (our endless talks on our way to Church, those laughters and all those priceless memories!)

I hope that even with those cupcakes, I was able to make you feel how truly sweetful it is to have met you, Ka Brenda & Ka Conrad

I can say that during my stay in LA, I really got the chance to meet and spend quality time with my fellow Church mates especially with Ka Noel(the minister in the Pasadena locale) and his wonderful family.

This was taken during my second to the last worship service in LA wherein I had the chance to taste Ka Noel's famous adobo! It was really goooooood!!! And his pansit too reminded me more of tight Filipino events and gatherings!

Thank you Ka Noel and Ka Arlene for all your love, guidance and support! I am very blessed to have met you and your super duper cute and adorable kids especially Nathan! :))  Hoping to see you all soon!

UPPER PORTION: Ka Noel, Ka Arlene, Yours truly and Alec :)
LOWER PORTION: Fellow churchmates, Brother Jeremy, Matthew, Krystle, Wenelie, Marc & Kevin

As you can see from the lower portion of the picture, I spent my last night in LA with them. :) Too bad we weren't able to spend much time together but we'll definitely get in touch with each other from time to time. :) I'll forever be grateful to the Lord for giving me the chance to spend time with them and I wish we could hang out more in the future! :))) Hope you enjoyed the cupcakes even though I wasn't prepared that I only had two cupcakes left and everyone had to share it! LOL! I'll make it up to you guys next time!! :))) Parting indeed, is such a sweet sorrow! I already miss theem!!!

Thank you Marc for coming with us to Disneylaand on a very very late notice! :))) And ofcourse to Wenelie too! :))) You guys helped me fulfill one of my 20 things to do before turning 20 this year! :))) Thank you for letting me be a princess for a day in Disneyland!!! Love you guys!! :))))

Meet Wenelie, Marc,Krystle, Brother Jeremy, Matthew and Kevin! :)))

There were still a loooot of people whom I wanted to share these little GRATITUDE CUPCAKES with, but oh well, I guess there's always a next time! :))))

So, do you have someone to thank in mind right now? Why not use your passion , your special skills, your hobby or whatever you may call it to express your gratitude to them versus buying something from a store? That way, I guess, will be more appreciated. :)))

Till our next baking adventuuuuure,

Pastry Princess <3
