Choices, Excitement and Yes, Fear: A 340 Day Pastry Project Challenge Highlight Post
Have you ever experienced having that transition from something that you got used to..something so familiar that the thought of even the slightest of change would bring that tinge of fear, of having to face the unknown.
If so, I would really love to hear from you, whether that be concerning a life decision regarding your personal relationships, your career, and even with your spiritual life. :) Why not, right? ;)
You can just leave a comment here or shoot me an email at adao.princess@gmail.com! :D Again, I would really really love to hear from you. Knowing that you're not alone in this world, facing the same problems somehow lightens up one's burden and makes you feel like a normal human being facing life in your twenties! So FIRE AWAAAY GUYS!
FIRE AWAAAAAY! :D
Just a few weeks ago, an end allowed more wonderful beginnings to take over. But IT WASN'T EASY though I saw and knew it was coming. I've always always wanted to work for Wildflour not only for their mouthwatering array of pastries, breads and cronuts(OH YES CRONUUUUUUTSSSS!!!)...
There's just something in there and I still can't figure out(and hopefully one day I will) what lures me especially the first time I walked in and shamelessly submitted my resume, asking if they had vacancies in the pastry section. Haha. I seriously can't help but laugh reminiscing those days.
Oh life, seriously, sometimes you're awesome, sometimes you're not. :D Guess I just have to make the most of what I've got.
And when the opportunity opened up, I was ECSTATIC...
EXCITED ofcourse and mostly AFRAID at the same time.
It's something that I've fervently prayed for(and I'm not even exaggerating) and looking back a few weeks ago, I remember being afraid.

I'll forever be grateful that I've crossed paths with them. I've learned so much especially from Chef Celine and Pat and it's something that I'll take with me wherever this adventure may bring me. :) And like what I've always said, Stockton Place will always have a special place in my heart.
Always. <3
Of course, there were a lot of questions in my head that time, so much what ifs, and I knew that they wouldn't stop until I make a choice and commit to it whatever happens. And I'm just immensely grateful that during those times, Mr. Cookie Man's always there to rescue with his unfailing wisdom which I would like to share with you as well.
Here are his exact words and hopefully it enlightens you in such a way that you could apply it to your daily life as well. :)
Sometimes it helps to realize that it is as if you were weaving a tapestry and even though all those threads are being woven into something, it doesn’t look like much right now. Down the road when you look back at the how it rolls out and how all the little things that bedeviled you then, came out in a logical fashion to bring you to a place that will be good! And its very cool to look back and say, “Ahhhhhh, so now I see that such and such happened so that I could learn how to make that cookie or this pastry that I need to know to do what I want to do now.” The lessons we learn with HARD experience today, we learn so that we remember and don’t have to make the same mistakes over and over.
We may not understand the way things are right now in our lives(or maybe we never will. haha), and the least we can do is to trust, commit and have faith.
And maybe, one day, it will all make perfect sense. ;) And as I begin a new chapter in life, I've realized how inevitable(and wonderful) change is - that we must embrace it fully, cause one way or another, it's the ONLY ONLY WAY we'll know how far we could go. :)

So don't you be a wallflower in the dance of life...

Be a WILD FLOUUUUR (flower) instead. ;)
Lots of sweet lovin',
Pastry Princess
