Consistency in Excellence: Day 4 of Pasty Project Challenge

On my Day 4 as a trainee in the Pastry and Garde Manger section, I must admit that I'm still in the process of acquainting myself with the components of the salads and the desserts that I plate..

Where the cheesecakes, the marquise and the pudding are located, foams that I need and need not to sous vide, where the garnishes would go and you know, stuff like that. haha

And ofcourse, the plating itself.

It's a very crucial last step cause you don't want guests complaining about their food the moment they see it.

Try envisioning a Gordon Ramsey moment. Just try.

And you'll never want that to happen.

FREAKING NEVER.

That's why no matter how busy the kitchen would get, I know I have to focus and be consistent.

Consistent with my goal of delivering what needs to be delivered...

consistent with maintaining cleanliness while working...

Consistent with creating nothing short of the best that I could give

and ofcourse

Man, my posts have been quite serious lately...hahah

Consistent with my passion and enthusiasm in this craft to learn something new every single day even if it's only learning how to make a simple toffee sauce or a chocolate ganache. :D

Which reminds me of this super buff and fit Pilates instructor that I met in LA. I told her, "Ugh, I wanna achieve something like that in the future I swear! I don't know how though.."

And you know what she told me?

"Princess, consistency is key."

And that doesn't apply only to fitness, it has always been the best way to achieve something in your life. <3

Guess we gotta keep on pushing everyone! :)

Lotsa love,

Pastry Princess
